The new shop offers a variety of products ranging from alpaca knitwear to locally made crafts. We currently have five knitters that knit year round to produce beautiful alpaca outerwear and accessories. Items such as hats, mitts, gloves, scarves and sweaters are popular. Our knitwear has been juried by the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador and meets the high quality demanded by the Council.
We also carry a sport type alpaca sock which is ideal for outdoor pursuits in the winter. These socks were made for us by a sock company in Montreal. They have been our biggest seller for the last three years.
Our thrummed llama/alpaca mitts were also juried by the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador and in addition to meeting their standards, they were also given the designation of "Crafts of Character".
In addition to the alpaca knitwear, we also carry a selection of alpaca and alpaca blend yarns which we have made by Michel in Peru. Raw fibre for spinners is always popular as well.
Alpaca "fur" items are always in demand. We carry a variety of teddy bears, llama and alpaca figures, slippers, rugs and wall hangings imported from Peru. We purchase our products from ethical businesses in South America who only use alpaca pelts from animals that have died of natural causes.
